Data Security

This page explains exactly how OnlinePitchChanger.com handles the data involved when you use its tools — specifically uploaded audio files, uploaded video files, and YouTube URLs. It also covers general website security practices and how to contact us with security concerns.

Why This Page Exists

OnlinePitchChanger.com is not a typical informational website. Several of its tools involve user-provided audio content — either files you upload from your device or YouTube URLs you paste into a tool. This means data security and file handling are questions you have every right to ask and expect clear answers to.

This page is written to answer those questions honestly and specifically — not with vague reassurances, but with a clear explanation of what happens technically from the moment you interact with a tool.

Part 1 — Uploaded Audio and Video Files

Which tools involve file uploads?

The following tools accept files uploaded directly from your device:

What happens to your uploaded file?

When you upload a file to any tool on this site, the following process occurs:

Step 1 — File selection. You select a file from your device. The file is loaded into your browser’s memory using standard browser file APIs. At this point, the file has not been transmitted anywhere.

Step 2 — Processing. The pitch and/or tempo changes you specify are applied to the file. Processing is performed using the Web Audio API — a standard technology built into modern browsers that handles audio manipulation locally on your device.

Step 3 — Output generation. The processed audio is generated as a new file in your browser’s memory, ready for download.

Step 4 — Download. You download the processed file to your device.

Is my uploaded file stored on a server?

Uploaded files are processed for the sole purpose of applying the pitch and tempo changes you request. Files are not permanently stored, not indexed, not analysed for any secondary purpose, and not accessible to OnlinePitchChanger.com after your session ends.

When you close the browser tab or navigate away from the page, the file data is cleared from browser memory and is no longer accessible.

Is my uploaded file shared with any third party?

No. Uploaded audio and video files are not shared with, transmitted to, or accessible by any third party — including advertisers, analytics providers, or any other service integrated into this website. File processing is entirely self-contained within your browser session.

What is the maximum file size?

The current maximum file size for uploads is 50MB. Files exceeding this limit will not be accepted by the tool.

Part 2 — YouTube URL Processing

Which tools involve YouTube URLs?

The YouTube Pitch Changer accepts a YouTube URL pasted by the user and allows pitch and tempo adjustment of the video’s audio.

How does YouTube URL processing work?

The YouTube Pitch Changer uses the YouTube IFrame Player API — a standard, publicly available interface provided by YouTube that allows websites to embed and control YouTube video playback. When you paste a YouTube URL into the tool:

  • The video is loaded via YouTube’s standard embed player — the same technology used on millions of websites to embed YouTube videos
  • Pitch and playback speed adjustments are applied to the audio output of the player in real time using the Web Audio API in your browser
  • No YouTube video file is downloaded, extracted, copied, or stored at any point
  • The video remains hosted on YouTube’s servers throughout — OnlinePitchChanger.com never takes possession of the video data

This means the YouTube Pitch Changer is a playback modification tool — it changes how you hear the audio in your browser, not the underlying video file. It does not circumvent YouTube’s access controls, does not download content for redistribution, and does not interact with YouTube’s systems beyond what the standard embed API permits.

Does this comply with YouTube’s Terms of Service?

The YouTube IFrame Player API is a publicly available interface that YouTube makes available for websites to embed and control YouTube playback. Use of this API for playback modification within a browser session is consistent with standard embed use. OnlinePitchChanger.com does not download, redistribute, or permanently store YouTube content.

Users are responsible for ensuring their use of YouTube content through this tool complies with YouTube’s Terms of Service and applicable copyright law.
